Apr 28 announced $1.7B in identified savings. Apr 29 booked first $237M. Education $58.8M (May 5). May 12 FY27 Executive Budget cites the $1.7B savings figure as material to the gap-closing math. Comptroller Levine confirms savings as "real money" but flags reliance on one-shots versus structural reform. Booked tracker accelerating into FY27 with mixture of health-plan audit savings, contract renegotiations, and CityFHEPS administrative tightening ($519M alone).
