No fixed annual mileage target. UPDATE May 6: Mamdani-Flynn announced ~10-mile Bergen-Dean Brooklyn bike-boulevard redesign (Cobble Hill to Ocean Hill) on National Bike to School Day — biggest single cycling-infrastructure commitment of the administration to date. Design proposal due later this year, first-phase install targeted 2027. [Wed Jun 3 update] Manhattan CB7 voted 26-17 Tue Jun 2 evening to BACK Mamdani / DOT W. 72nd St protected bike lane redesign (4 lanes → 2 + protected bike lane, bus boarding islands, loading zones, metered parking). 140 speakers, standing-room-only. DOT could install as soon as this summer. E. 72nd St redesign next on UES. Closes gap from Central Park to Hudson. McGuinness Blvd done (Jan), Bergen-Dean (May 6) and 31st St Astoria already added. Status remains in-progress — promotion to KEPT depends on actual installation across multiple corridors.
