The third of four public RGB hearings was held last night (Thu Jun 11) 7-10 PM at the Theater at City Tech (Jay St, Downtown Brooklyn). Hearings continue Mon Jun 16 at Symphony Space (Manhattan) before the final RGB vote on Jun 25. Mamdani-aligned 6/9 board majority (5 new appointees + 1 reappointment, confirmed Feb) means a freeze on rent-stabilized leases is now arithmetically possible. May 7 preliminary vote left the range at 0-2% (1-yr) / 0-4% (2-yr) on the table. Mamdani-launched Organize NYC volunteer canvass turned out tenants citywide; landlord side argued for 3-5.5%/6-8% under preliminary scenarios.
