Artist Dez Stavracos designed banners + paper ads + electric kiosks running throughout June. Driver: gender-identity-based complaints to CHR jumped from 5% of all complaints (FY20) to nearly 20% (FY25) — a 4x rise to a 5-year high. Mamdani: "At a time when the federal government is fueling attacks on trans people across this country, New York City is making something clear: We will protect your rights, defend your humanity and stand beside you without hesitation." Builds on the Mar EO establishing the Mayor's Office of LGBTQIA+ Affairs and Mamdani's $65M gender-affirming-care pledge.
